Helping flood victims on his own

KOTA BELUD: The actions of a do-gooder who handed out necessities to flood victims from a raft made from banana tree trunks did not go unnoticed in Facebook.

The picture uploaded on Facebook by an individual going by the name “Savior of the World” received praise for helping people trapped in their houses by rowing a raft alone through the floods in Kg Linau.

Arshadila Arshad, 37, who lives in the village, said he had done it in the past especially when the district flooded after continuous heavy rain.
