Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer convinced Amad Diallo Traore about a move during a video conference call.
As reported on the Here We Go podcast, Diallo is said to have spoken to Solskjaer on FaceTime before signing for the Red Devils.
On the call, the United boss praised the young winger and allegedly told him he believes him to be one of the best players in the world in his age category.
United snapped up the teenage winger from Atalanta on deadline day.
The Norwegian reportedly told Diallo that he has no intention of sending him out on loan and that he would be an important part of his United team for years to come.
