Robin van Persie has jokingly taken credit for Manchester United's signing of Edinson Cavani.
The veteran striker signed as a free agent with United after a seven-year spell with PSG.
Van Persie told SportBible in February that United should look at the Uruguayan, stating: "Edinson Cavani. I would definitely go for Cavani; he's very fit, he's a proven goalscorer, a goal machine, he has proven it at Napoli, PSG and Uruguay."
And after the 33-year-old was announced as a United player on Tuesday, van Persie was quick to take the credit.
The Dutchman posted on Twitter: "Agent RVP. Glad to see you were listening @ManUtd!
"Brilliant signing and adds plenty of experience. Will improve players around him even more #Martial #Rashford #Greenwood #GoalMachine"
