Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has slammed the state of the club under Florentino Perez.

Calderon says the club has been on the slide since allowing Cristiano Ronaldo to leave for Juventus two years ago.

He declared, "From the folly of Cristiano's sale, it was known that the team needed reinforcements in that position and in other positions, but the sad reality is that the box is not only empty but is full of invoices for an amount of approximately 1,000 million that they have to pay.

"What happened against Shakhtar and Cádiz leaves very bad feelings, but we must be optimistic because this team has already had bad moments like this and has overcome them, although obviously the feelings are not good.

"The game against Shakhtar was not good, there were many errors, surely also the line-ups, but no one is to blame in particular, it is an accumulation of circumstances that this has happened. Since the foolish sale of Cristiano there is no one who score goals."
