Bid to smuggle out RM110k syabu

TAWAU: Two undocumented foreigners were arrested on suspicion of trying to smuggle out RM110,000 worth of syabu at Kg Inderasabah Jetty at about 10.20pm, Oct 9.

 District Police Chief, ACP Peter Umbuas, said the duo, aged 21 and 26, were believed to have wanted to smuggle out 2,103.04gm of syabu to a neighbouring country after getting it from Tawau.

 He said the drug bust was made by police with assistance from the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency following tip-off on drug trafficking activity at the village’s jetty.
