The agent of Atalanta winger Ruslan Malinovskyi admits there was interest from abroad over the summer.
The Russia international attracted enquiries from Leeds before last week's deadline fell.
Sergiy Serebrennikov told Radio Marte: "Some big Europeans for Malinovskyi? Atalanta has done so much so well that it is normal to have received interest.
"However, it was not the right time to change, he is fine in Bergamo.
"He is not a regular but can do well and is important for (coach Gian Piero) Gasperini."
