Manchester United have been rebuffed in another transfer move this summer.
The Red Devils were hopeful of signing a striker in the remaining days of the transfer window.
The club had wanted to make a move for Real Madrid man Luka Jovic.
However, a report from Fabrizio Romano states the player is not moving after all.
Borja Mayoral has gone to Roma, which means Jovic has a spot in the Real squad for this season.
It means United may have to try and do a deal with Edinson Cavani before the transfer window closes, if they want a reliable back up to Anthony Martial.
