Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Women’s Action-Resource Group (Sawo) called on the six newly appointed Nominated Assemblymen to resign and make way for the six women losers who had the most votes who had the guts to stand in the recent State Election.

In a statement, Thursday, Sawo said “Women’s representation in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) has been decreasing over the years and is now less than 10 per cent.

“Sawo together with other groups urge the government to improve this pathetic and unjust situation by appointing women into the six nominated seats.
