Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton believes Manchester United may pull back from plans to sign RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.

Upamecano struggled in last night's Champions League thrashing at Old Trafford.

Sutton said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Upamecano has had a stinker this second half.

“I was reading this morning that United are going to be in for Upamecano very, very soon.

“But if you were actually scouting him on tonight's performance, I don't think you'd take him!

“I suppose if you were scouting Harry Maguire, for arguments sake, you would say he was top class. Funny old game!"
