Distribute aid via YB’s office, govt told

Kota Kinabalu: Democratic Action Party (DAP) Luyang Assemblyman Phoong Jin Zhe (pic)  welcomed the State Government’s announcement of RM2 million worth of food baskets to areas under the CMCO.

He suggested that the local assemblyman’s office be enlisted in the aid distribution as a bipartisan approach to ensure it reaches those in need.

“According to the statement by Hajiji, these food buckets will be distributed through the Disaster Operation Controlling Centres (PKOB) and will include police, Rela, the Sabah Health Bureau and the Sabah Welfare Department,” said Phoong.
