Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is set to join Atletico Madrid over the weekend.
The midfielder has been in talks with Atletico Madrid, who are poised to complete a loan move with an option - rather than an obligation - to buy, reports AS.
The player was due to travel to Madrid on Friday or early on Saturday, with a view to completing his medical before joining up with his international team-mates.
Atleti will have the option to buy the former Sampdoria man for €20m, either immediately or after a year's loan, though their financial situation may depend on their ability to sell one or more of Hector Herrera or Thomas Lemar before Monday's European transfer deadline.
