Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes clashed with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at halftime of their 6-1 home hammering by Tottenham.
The Portuguese rounded on Solskjaer over the tactics with United trailing 4-1 after the Portuguese midfielder had given the home side an early lead through a composed penalty, reports the Mirror.
United match-day officials saw Fernandes, 26, storm past them in the tunnel and then heard him angrily lashing out verbally in the dressing room, shouting: “We are supposed to be Manchester United!"
One revealed: “You couldn't help but hear him.
“He was clearly in a rage after having a face like thunder when he raced down the tunnel.
“He laid into team-mates, accusing them of not upholding the proud name of Manchester United. He kept yelling, 'We are supposed to be Manchester United. This shouldn't be happening'.
“It was clear that the manager also came under fire because he was going on about the wrong tactics.
“There were other raised voices, but his was the one which seemed to carry the main force."
Fernandes was substituted, Fred taking his place for the second half in which United conceded two more goals.
But a Manchester United official insisted: “There was no row. Players often express their views."
