TAWAU: The Tawau Disaster Operations Control Centre (PKOB) is urged to find alternative ways to bring more food essentials into Taman Semarak as its supply of food is becoming limited since the implementation of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (Emco).

Merotai Assemblyman Sarifuddin Hata (pic) said the residents are presently only allowed to buy food items at several sundry shops in Taman Serawak, adding the shops’ supplies are however decreasing and insufficient to cater to more than 4,000 families in the area.

He said the residents have had a difficult time trying to get daily essentials due to the depleting supply of food at the shops.
