Olympique Marseille are watching Manchester United midfielder Aliou Traore's progress at Caen.
Traore moved to Caen this summer on a season-long loan for his first taste of senior football.
L'Equipe says Marseille had also made contact, but after speaking with teammates, Traore chose to move to Caen given the better chance of regular football.
OM chief Pablo Longoria is a fan of the midfielder and is convinced Traore is destined for big things.
Traore is inside the final year of his United deal.
