The agent of Everton midfielder Bernard says he tried to place him at Roma.
However, a move to Italy could still happen in January.
“We tried to convince Everton to let him go, but the club wouldn't agree even to a loan," agent Adriano Spadoto told LaRoma24.it.
“I think we will try again in January and a definitive deal could be done for circa €7m."
Bernard has a deal to 2022.
