BEAUFORT: The District Office is urged to source more suppliers rather than only settle for one to carry out the distribution of food baskets to some 7,000 families in Lumadan constituency.

Lumadan Assemblyman Ruslan Muharam said the food basket distribution has been slow and dragged on for almost a month, attributed to limited supply of food items. This has led to netizens slamming the new state government.

“Appointing just one supplier is not enough to make food baskets for 7,000 families here, this will surely slow down the distribution process,” he said, during a meeting with the Village Security and Development Committees (JKKK) and donation presentation to 13 senior citizens and disabled, at Mile 6.
