Former Atletico Madrid star Kiki Musampa has revealed how Barcelona fullback Sergino Dest was almost kicked out of Ajax as a junior player.
Musampa was part of the academy staff at the time and revealed there was a big question mark over the American at 15 years of age.
He said, "Dest is a player who has improved in an impressive way.
"I remember in the Ajax U-15 that we questioned whether to throw him out or not.
"We decided that he would stay and he improved in two years in a brutal way until he became the player that he is now."
