Former Arsenal and Villarreal star Santi Cazorla says Xavi is on track to eventually taking charge of Barcelona.
Cazorla is playing for Xavi at Al Sadd and has quickly been impressed.
He said, "Xavi is without a doubt a fantastic coach. I work with him daily and the many leadership qualities he had as a player he now has as a coach.
"He makes great progress as a coach and brings his own philosophy.
"I think he will be Barcelona's coach one day, but it's his decision and he knows when it's the right time to take that step. Although he was raised in La Masia like (Pep) Guardiola, that does not mean he will be a copy of him. He has a different coaching style and many tactical ideas, so I'm sure he's going to be a great coach. We all have to wait and see."
