Integrated plan to address Tanjung Batu flood woes

TAWAU: An integrated plan will be formulated immediately to resolve the malfunctioning drainage systems in several villages in the Tanjung Batu constituency which cause flash floods whenever there is heavy rain. 

State Youth and Sports Assistant Minister Andi Muhamad Suryady Bandi said he will discuss the matter with the Irrigation and Drainage Department (DID), Public Works Department (PWD) and relevant government agencies. 

“We will try to come up with an integrated plan to address the flood problems besetting the villages,” he said.
