Kota Kinabalu: After a long hiatus, raising questions regarding the project’s future, Pillars of Sabah is set to return for a third instalment.

Occupying the ruins of the colonial heritage Lands and Survey building (and then later the Welfare Building) in downtown Kota Kinabalu, the community art project was first launched on Malaysia Day in 2018, in celebration of Sabahan “heroes”.

With the site’s 30 roofless pillars, the project featured the artwork of 30 artists  — each artist with their own pillar as a “canvas”.
