Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso has explained bringing back Cesare Prandelli.
The Viola sacked Beppe Iachini and replaced him with Prandelli.
“First of all I want to personally thank Beppe Iachini, a capable and determined coach, who, in the most difficult moment of last season, dragged and led the team, with his work, his dedication and his character," Fiorentina's president said.
“Unfortunately, the current results require a change of technical guidance, but my esteem and gratitude to the man and the professional remain entirely unchanged.
“I also want to give my personal welcome to Mister Prandelli. We believe that his skills, his professional history and his humanity, recognized and appreciated by the world of football, make Prandelli the most suitable person to sit on the bench purple.
“I shared the decision of the management to focus on Cesare Prandelli, as a new tactician, considering him the ideal candidate for his experience and his maximum motivation to return to work for our colours.
“We expect to find the same motivation in all the players and in the environment that works around the team.
“I hope that the new coach will be able to enhance and make the best use of our squad and, through the games and the future results that we will get, to give new satisfactions to the city of Florence and the great Viola Family."
