Monterrey are making a move for Tijuana midfielder Mauro Lainez.
Lainez has impressed Monterrey directors in the Copa MX and are now actively putting together a package to swoop for the 24 year-old midfielder.
Monterrey were impressed by Lainez's performance in the Copa final and hope to clinch terms with Xolos.
And working in their favour is the player's family are based in Monterrey and such a move would suit the former Mexico U23 international.
Lainez was on the radars of America and Cruz Azul last season.
