PZS closer to RM90m tithe collection target

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Zakat Centre (PZS) is closer to achieving its target of zakat collection of RM90 million for this year. 

Special Tasks Minister Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif said the centre has successfully collected RM84 million until this month and hopes the target set for this year’s collection can be achieved. 

“Hopefully we will be able to achieve the target set for zakat collection for this year. Normally government-linked companies (GLCs) and corporate organisations will come forward to pay their respective zakat on business during the end of the year,” he said.
