Pachuca and goalkeeper Oscar Ustari are in new contract talks.
The Argentine, 34, is coming off contract and Pachuca are eager to extend his stay. However, for the moment there is a difference over terms.
Ustari's priority is to stay, with his current deal expiring at the end of December.
If an agreement cannot be found, Ustari will instruct his agent to seek a new team.
Ustari spent five years in Spain with Getafe and also had a short spell in England with Sunderland.
