Kota Kinabalu: University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) extends its Green Concept and Philosophy in guiding its research and recently engaged projects to assess the effects of infrastructure development on the socio-economic well-being and environmental sustainability in Sabah. The concerted research effort involves five studies, conducted by six students and six academicians with expertise in social science, physico-chemistry of water and soil, as well as biodiversity and conservation. Ibrahim Wasti of UCSF said: “We advocate for local measures according to local situations and needs. Thus, we would like to work with real data rather than abstract models to assess the efficacy of infrastructure projects.”
