SANDAKAN: Sandakan Member of Parliament Vivian Wong (pic) appealed to Federal and State governments to extend free monthly rental for People’s Housing Project (PPR) for another three months, especially those that are placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

She said she wrote to Federal Minister of Housing and Local Government Zuraida Kamaruddin and State Minister of Local Government and Housing cum State Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun to seek for such application, especially for PPR housing parks like PPR Taman Mesra and PPR Taman Harmoni, here.

“I have received a lot of responses and requests from the people to get an exemption to pay for the PPR monthly rental because the occupants whom are mostly from the B40 group are not able to generate income during the EMCO period and also the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) or since the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO).
