24 back to work at Tawau fish market

TAWAU: About 24 fishmongers or assistants who tested negative from the Covid-19 swab test resumed business at the Tawau Fishery Market on Wednesday morning.

Vice Chairman of Tawau Fisheries Association (TFA), Chin Nyuk Thin, said about 12 per cent of 199 stalls reopened their businesses from 6am to 2pm.

He said the Tawau Municipal Council dispatched several officers to monitor the situation at the market and its surroundings while a member of TFA was also present.
