Improving security of waters off State, especially Esszone areas

THE State Government is determined to improve security in waters off the State, especially in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone) areas, said Head of State Tun Dr Juhar Mahiruddin (pic).

On the issue of security and public order, he said the State Government is concerned about the issue of encroachment on the border area of ​​the State with neighbouring countries, as well as the continued influx of illegal immigrants.

Therefore, he said the State Government, together with the Federal Government, will further strengthen the role and jurisdiction of Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) in safeguarding and controlling Sabah’s waters and borders with neighbouring countries.
