Arsenal winger George Lewis is happy proving his doubters wrong back home in Norway.
Lewis stunned Norwegian football after winning a contract with the Gunners last season following successful trials.
In 2018, he played three matches in the Obosligaen for Tromsdalen. The following year, there were two games for Fram Larvik at level three in Norwegian football.
Now he is a senior pro with Arsenal and a regular with the U23s this season.
Lewis told VG: "People get to think what they want. For me, it's about refuting. I have done this since I was a little boy and this is something my parents taught me.
"Where I come from, there are many who have not believed in me. That's why it's great to be here now, and it's always special to wear an Arsenal kit to play football matches.
"Of course I was surprised when I first heard about the interest, I think everyone had been. It has been a big leap in terms of level, but I feel I have handled it well. It was a challenge that I felt ready to take on."
