BEAUFORT: The Sabah Ethnic Association (Presbah) urged the relevant authorities to take action on allegedly dishonest rice sellers who comprise on the quality of their rice supply. Its President Yahya Ahmad (pic) said there have been many complaints from consumers all across Sabah that the quality of rice they consume has deteriorated, yet remains expensive. “For example,the ‘beras wangi’ or AAA grade rice no longer reflects its true quality, as when it is cooked the quality seems like it has been mixed with other lower grade rice such as glutinous rice,” he told Daily Express.
