Manchester United defender Brandon Williams admits left-back is his preferred position.
Williams has been more on the fringes this season, since United signed Brazilian left wing-back Alex Telles as cover for Luke Shaw. It looks likely that United will now use Williams more on the right flank, a position he says he is also accustomed to playing.
The Harpurhey-born academy product revealed while speaking to United's official website how his ability to play on either side came about.
He said, “There were about three players at right-back and only one at left-back.
“Kieran [McKenna] was the youth team manager at the time and I ended up playing on the left side for one game and from then I ended up playing there week in, week out.
“It started to get natural to me and comfortable to me. Now it's a weapon for me because I can play on both sides, so it's an option for me."
