An American group are launching a takeover bid for West Brom.
However, to sell, it will mean Baggies owner Guochuan Lai taking a major hit on the original €225m he paid for WBA four years ago.
The Telegraph says the American consortium are willing to pay €170m to buy the Premier League club.
Chinese landscaping magnate Lai has come underfire from fans since WBA's promotion after spending €40m in the summer market.
The American group's offer is yet to be rejected by Lai.
