Kota Kinabalu: The Labuan bridge, once completed, should not have road tolls to be charged to road users, said former chief minister Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee (pic). He said imposing road tolls defeat the entire purpose of building the bridge that links the island of Labuan and its international airport to the Sabah’s mainland. “The core objectives of the bridge are to reduce travelling time and to maximise the safety and convenience of travellers. The bridge will also reduce the costs of transporting passengers and goods between Labuan and the mainland of Sabah.
