Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has quickly been won over by Carlos Vinicius.
Mourinho swooped for the Brazilian before the summer market shut at the beginning of last month, signing the striker on-loan from Benfica. The Spurs manager chose to bring in Vinicius as cover for No1 centre-forward Harry Kane.
And while Vinicius has had limited playing chances so far this season, he's done enough to have Mourinho hinting at keeping hold of him for longer.
Indeed, Mourinho believes Vinicius and Kane can play in the same attack - and has declared plans to put the pair together in upcoming games.
Speaking with Sport TV via O Jogo, Mourinho declared: "Vinícius is different. He arrived and his space is obvious. We have two strikers, we don't have three, four or five, and he is one of the two. The other is one of the three best strikers in the world and that creates a difficult situation, but they can play both together, there are games in which they will do it."
Mourinho also moved to assure Vinicius that he will see plenty of action, wary of the workload of England captain Kane.
He continued: "Alternation is important because Harry cannot play all games. Vinícius will play many times, he will have the opportunity to prove in the Premier League and convince Tottenham to buy him. If he doesn't, he will return to Benfica a lot richer and a lot more experienced. This operation is good for the three parties."
Vinicius is on a season-long loan at Spurs, with Benfica accepting a £3m fee for the temporary arrangement.
