Liverpool legend Steve Nicol would've liked to have seen Edinson Cavani signed by Jurgen Klopp.
A free agent over the summer, Cavani joined Manchester United on deadline day last month.
Nicol said on ESPN: "Edinson Cavani is a good option coming off the bench for any team.
“I wouldn't have had a problem if Liverpool had signed Cavani for coming off the bench with 20 minutes to go."
Cavani struck his first goal for United last week, coming off the bench late on to score in victory at Everton.
