“This would be unfair to the people if my team are not directly involved in fighting against Covid-19. “Don’t just chuck me in a corner and make me an elected representative who receives salary but unable to perform my duty as a leader, especially during this critical period,” she said. Vivian said before the State Election, the people can still get detailed information from the former Minister of Health and People’s Welfare, Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung but now people cannot do so.

“Certain vital information such as the location of clusters, number of active cases in the red zone areas are not known and as such cause the local community to be more anxious than they already are. “The announcement of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (Emco) without revealing how many positive cases in the affected area causes the people to feel like they are not given the truth. “Nevertheless, I would like to thank the people of Sandakan who still comply with the Emco even though the information provided was minimal,” she said. Vivian reminded the people to continue to comply with standard operating procedures (SOP) and maintain personal hygiene at all times. “The health and welfare of the people is our priority at this time and for the record, positive Covid Cases in Sandakan hit 389 on Friday with some of it are from Sandakan Prison and the rest are close contact cases.
