Barcelona midfielder Pedri has enjoyed a swipe at Real Madrid.
While still with Las Palmas, Pedri was rejected by Real after trials before signing for Barcelona.
"I thank Madrid for not signing me, now I am where I wanted to be," the 17 year-old told Cadena SER.
“My parents and my brother are the ones who give me the most advice. It's very good because they demand better from myself and keep my feet on the ground.
"Since I was little I have always felt more comfortable as a midfielder but on both wings I can contribute to the team."
Pedri added: “I spent a week testing at Madrid. They told me I didn't have the level. They took me to an office and told me. I thank him, because now I am in the team that I have always wanted to be."
