Former Liverpool fullback Jose Enrique believes they will buy a new centre-half in January.
The Reds have found themselves short at the back after Virgil van Dijk was forced to undergo surgery for a damaged ACL.
Enrique said, "There have been rumours of Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli) and Dayot Upamecano (RB Leipzig).
"I think they should sign a young player and I think Liverpool will too."
