Additional 137 medical personnel for Sabah

Kota Kinabalu: The federal Ministry of Health (MOH) has deployed an additional 137 medical personnel to assist Sabah in its fight against Covid-19, said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun Saturday.

“One hundred and twenty-eight (local) contract nurses have reported for duty at the State Health Department and are actively undergoing training before they commence duties. Nine medical officers from Kelantan and Terengganu have also arrived in Sabah today (Oct 31),” he said in a statement.

In another development, Masidi said the Semporna Hospital’s Operation Theatre was reopened on Oct 30, following the Government’s effort to attain approval in doing so from the MOH.
