Get proven winner Ronald Smith, urges Bobby Chua

Kota Kinabalu: Bobby Chua called on Sabah Football Club to consider former Rhinos coach Ronald Smith as their new coach for the coming Super League season.

The Australian, who coached Sabah in 1995, for eight matches at the end of that season, had guided the team from 13th position to 5th in the league and reached the Malaysia Cup semi-final in the same year.

The following season, Sabah won the ‘M’ League for the first time in the club’s history and reached the Malaysia Cup final, losing only to Selangor in a penalty shoot-out.

In his final season with Sabah in 1997, the team also did well to finish third in the ‘M’ League.
