Warisan again claims credit for sales tax

Kota Kinabalu: Warisan’s Merotai Assemblyman, Sarifuddin Hata (pic), reiterated the sales tax revenue on petroleum products which will forever be enjoyed by the people of Sabah is a legacy of the Warisan Plus administration led by Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal. 

Starting next year, Sabah will receive sales tax revenue of RM1.25 billion.

“Although Warisan Plus’ administration was only for two years, Shafie succeeded in demanding the rights of the people of Sabah that can be used to develop the State for generations to come,” he said in a statement,  Saturday.

He said during the tabling of the 2021 State Budget, the current Chief Minister stated that the revenue is worth RM1.25 billion, and this is what Shafie has been fighting for since taking over the government.
