Budget has interest of people at heart: Ghani

Kota Kinabalu: Nabawan Assemblyman, Senator Datuk Abdul Ghani Mohd Yassin hailed the State Budget 2021 tabled by Chief Minister cum Finance Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor as one that has the interest of the people at heart.

Ghani, who is also Sabah Land Development Board (SLDB) Chairman, said the Budget themed “People’s Prosperity, Sustainable Economy” is focussed on the wellbeing of the people as well as spurring the State’s economy.

Hajiji on Friday tabled the RM4.3 billion Budget with a surplus of RM178.7 million.

Ghani said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has brought must destruction to people’s lives and the economy and the State Budget tabled by Hajiji is most apt as it will help those in need and at the same time focus on creating sustainable economic growth.”
