YB says more councillors needed in B’fort

BEAUFORT: Lumadan Assemblyman, Haji Ruslan Muharam, advised customary leaders to be alert to parties abusing the media, spreading wild allegations and misinformation to create misunderstanding among the people.

“Remember to strive to provide the best for the people so they will continue to trust and support the efforts to develop Lumadan, as what the people here wants,” he said. 

Ruslan also suggested that the present number of Beaufort District Councillors increased by 10 so to make it 30.

He said this is important in the effort to balance the services for the three constituencies, namely Membakut, Klias and Lumadan, under the Beaufort parliamentary constituency.
