West Ham boss David Moyes was happy with the point gained from their 0-0 draw at Southampton.

The Hammers took to the pitch at St Mary's Stadium just 50 hours after their 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion at London Stadium, but showed admirable resilience, determination and fitness levels to hold a Saints team who had enjoyed an extra day's rest.

Moyes said, "We were well aware of how good they've been in the first half and they didn't disappoint us as we couldn't get a foot on the ball in the first 15 minutes.

"After that, we grew into it a little bit, but I was pleased to get to half-time at nil-nil as we hadn't played as well as I'd have liked.

"I thought we were playing against a good team and one of the most in-form teams in the Premier League, so it's not a bad result to get a draw."

He added: "We don't want to complain about the fixture list, but the integrity of the game is really important, as we're always being told.

"Let's hope the integrity of the game continues to be upheld and teams get things done fairly and we'll see how it is."
