Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has showed off battle wounds from his first Premier League start.
The Dutchman, signed from Ajax this summer, was in the starting line-up for Sunday's clash with Southampton.
United walked away with a memorable 3-2 victory after being down by two goals at half-time.
And van de Beek clearly put his body on the line during the victory.
Posting on Instagram after the game, the 23-year-old showed fans a picture of his swollen ankle.
Van de Beek impressed against the Saints and United fans will be hoping it is just the start of a successful career at Old Trafford.
