Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he picked Daniel James against Leeds United for tactical reasons.

Leeds are the club James almost joined from Swnasea, before later signing for United.

He is also being linked with a loan move to Leeds in January.

James started the 6-2 win and scored in an impressive performance for the Red Devils.

"Not at all, Dan's a Man United player," said Solskjaer to the Manchester Evening News.

"He's proven time and time again how he can improve our performances at times with his exceptional pace.

"It's not that I'm too worried about it but it does do my head in when he gets a yellow card when he should have had a penalty, it's a foul, and he's almost been labelled as a diver before."
