Federal Treasury donates 6,000 food baskets

SANDAKAN: The Federal Treasury Sabah donated food baskets to 6,000 residents in five districts categorised as a Covid-19 red zone here, through the Mobile Community Service (MCS) programme. 

Its Assistant Administrative Officer (Management Section) Rahimah Sulong said the recipients consisted of those who are not listed as e-kasih recipients based on data obtained from the Disaster Operations Control Center (PKOB) of their respective districts as well as data from volunteers and non-governmental organisations (NGO).

She said the five districts include Tawau, Semporna, Lahad Datu, Sandakan and Tuaran.

She added the food basket distribution had been implemented in stages since the beginning of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
