Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo had mixed emotions after scoring in yesterday's 2-2 draw with Valencia.

The 21-year-old scored an acrobatic goal - his first senior strike for the Blaugrana - to put the hosts in front, but Maxi Gomez's goal proved decisive in the eventual 2-2 draw.

"It's bittersweet for me because we wanted the three points," Araujo told the media at full time. "It's a shame that we drew.

"We made some mistakes at the back that we cannot make, but we have to work [on them]. It's a shame because we had chances and the ball didn't go in. If we'd have scored another goal, we'd have been more relaxed.

"The team is doing well, [we have] a good dynamic and we hope to keep winning and picking up points."

Araujo's first goal for the Barcelona first team was a spectacular one, as he volleyed the ball passed Jaume Domenech in a scissor-like action.

"I'm happy to have scored my first goal with Barcelona," Araujo added. "It's great to score, especially for this club, but it's bittersweet because I like to win. We wanted to get all three points.

"We have to correct our mistakes, but we have to think about Tuesday [against Real Valladolid] and about winning [the game].

"It's the best goal I've [ever] scored because of what it means, and I want to dedicate it to my partner and my parents."
