Kota Kinabalu: Usukan Assemblyman Datuk Seri Panglima Salleh Tun Said Keruak has proposed that a smart meter system be introduced to consumers in villages in Kota Belud.He said this would help reduce disputes among consumers about their electricity bills. “I support SESB’s initiative to upgrade the electricity supply system in Sabah in general and in the Usukan area, in particular, to improve the stability of electricity supply in that area.

The proposal was made when he received a courtesy call from the Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) delegation at his residence in Taman Likas on Monday. Salleh who is Chairman of Warisan Harta Sdn Bhd (WHSS) also touched on the proposed collaboration between SESB and WHSS to realize sustainable energy development (Hydroelectric) in Sungai Liwagu. Meanwhile, Datuk Ir. Abdul Nasser hoped the meeting would not only strengthen the friendship but also can form a positive cooperation between SESB and WHSS in SESB’s efforts to provide the best and reliable services to the people of Sabah and help drive Sabah’s development.
