Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Ex-State Footballers Association has come out to support the appointment of Dato’ Verdon Bahanda as the Sabah Football Club’s (Sabah FC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

In a statement released on Sunday, its President and football legend Datuk James Wong (pic) said Verdon, as a very successful and proven businessman should be given the chance to lead the club.

“First of all, on behalf of the Ex-State Footballers Association I would like to congratulate Dato’ Verdon on his appointment as the CEO of Sabah FC.

“I had the opportunity to have an in-depth chat with him recently. My impression of him is a man fully committed to his job and with a great vision to bring the best out of Sabah FC.
